ARTIST BIO
Renee Rossiter is a photographer residing in Sarasota, Florida. Her sole focus with
her photography is composite work that portrays her vision of escapism. Rossiter's
backgrounds are museum settings and architectural masterpieces that have survived
to our day, providing a backdrop for her composites. Composite elements include
harlequins, balloons, confetti, natural phenomenon, flowers and wild animals. All
these elements are arranged to provide a tantalizing, celebratory, surrealistic fantasy
world away from the banality of life's cycles of eating, working and sleeping.
Rossiter believes that art dignifies humankind by elevating them above the animal
kingdom. She states; " Art is the expression of the marvels of our human mind and
imagination. It transcends time and carries over to the next generation to inspire,
touch our emotions, energize our creative forces, to find beauty, personal satisfaction
and a sense of accomplishment. When I walk into a museum and see the masterpieces
of artists I admire, I feel grateful to be human and thankful to have the capabilities
of interpreting these beautiful pieces and also creating them myself. I feel inspired
and driven to fulfill my own artistic expression."
